In cases of emergency, please call 911 or the Seven Counties Crisis Services 24-hour Crisis and Information Hotline at (502) 589-4313 or 1-800-221-0446.
Please allow 90 minutes for an initial evaluation. Please be aware that initial evaluations are generally scheduled in the morning or early afternoon. Afternoon and evening appointments are often preferred by clients, and these time slots are generally filled by established clients first. Upon request, Dr. Cheney will provide a doctor’s excuse in the event you or your child misses work or school.
During our first few sessions, Dr. Cheney will spend some time getting to know you and evaluating your needs. We will also review some paperwork and will discuss issues such as confidentiality, office policies, etc. By the end of the initial evaluation, Dr. Cheney will be able to offer you some initial impressions of what our work will include. By the second session, Dr. Cheney will discuss an initial treatment plan to follow and will set tentative target dates to meet based on our mutually agreed upon treatment goals.
Dr. Cheney generally meets with clients on a weekly basis for 45-50 minutes. Follow up appointments are scheduled from 9am to 12pm on Mondays and Fridays and from 9am to 5pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. If there is a specific time or day that works best for you, please let Dr. Cheney know, and she will do her best to accommodate you based upon availability.
